Interview with Diana Marincu
I had a conversation with Diana Marincu, curator and artistic director of the Art Encounters Foundation in Timișoara, in the welcoming ambience of the Două Bufnițe bookstore, to explore her recent concerns and research that she integrates into her projects. We discussed topics such as the 2023 European Capital of Culture, the influence of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși on contemporary art, and the curatorial challenges of the post-digital era. Diana shared her experiences working with artists and constructing an exhibition, while also providing insights into her generation and the influences that define it. Ultimately, we discussed her views on political correctness, the relationship between historical and aesthetic truth, and their impact on language and communication.
